What You Will Do
As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll create, maintain, and support the entire functions of projects for our amazing clients.
In this role, you’ll be working with a variety of languages, frameworks, and databases, primarily Advanced Javascript, Typescript, PHP, SQL, HTML/CSS, .NET/VB/ASP, and REST APIs technologies. On any given day you might be architecting new features for our clients, refactoring existing code to be more scalable, on-site with a client to understand their business, guiding other developers and seeing changes through to completion in a live environment.
You will work in a collaborative team environment with product managers, other developers, systems analysts, and designers throughout the entire project lifecycle to execute and launch applications for clients. You will be a valued contributor on the software development team.
Some travel may occasionally be required to meet with clients and project teams.

- Troubleshoot and debug applications.

- Leverage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements, translating them into clear specifications and tasks for yourself and others.
- Provide training and support to internal teams.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Act as a technical resource and guide for cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to identify and define new features.
- Implementation of DevSecOps environment and initiatives.
- Provide feedback around the DevSecOps environment and initiatives.
- Provide technical direction based on emerging technology exploration.
- Guide less experienced developers, fostering their technical growth and confidence, by occasionally onboarding, mentoring, training, and pair-programming.
- Occasionally, research and evaluate new integrations, tools, and libraries to enhance the project or development environment.
- Conduct critical code reviews and provide feedback that encourages best practices and improved implementation strategies.
- Contribute to documentation efforts for use by the team and/or clients to promote a shared understanding of the codebase, development processes, and application workflow.
- 7 years of relevant experience (preferably a combination of education and professional)
- Confidence and experience using high-level or object-oriented programming languages and technologies like PHP, Advanced JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps or Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to “go above and beyond”, bringing a passionate and positive approach to delivering results and encouraging teamwork.
- Ability to write and detail implementation specs or user stories that support effective development and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Experience in business strategy and solutions.
- Knowledge of software, web development, databases (relational and experience), mobile development, and technology solutions.
- Ability to communicate with web developers and designers.
- Large capacity for attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in order to meet goals without management oversight.
- Comfortable with Git version control.
- Ability to optimize database queries.
- Ability to refactor and optimize existing code.
- Comfortable using the Linux terminal.
- Familiar with Docker in a local development environment.
- Understanding of accessibility and server security standards and compliance.
- Exceptional debugging skills.
- A solid understanding of or strong desire to learn the following and other programming languages: Python, .NET, C#, Java, etc.
- Comfortable with writing automated unit and integration tests.
- Familiar with building and compiling public assets like CSS and JS with tools like SASS and Webpack or Rollup.
- Previous experience working with multiple platforms (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, etc.)
- Experience managing multiple tasks/projects in an agency environment.
