Responsibilities
- Defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Coordinating changes to configuration items to ensure that only authorized modifications are implemented.
- Ensure configuration management policies are followed.
- Conduct audits and verifications to ensure that the configuration items are correctly implemented and maintained.
- Coordinating changes to the IT environment to minimize disruption and ensure that changes are properly tested and documented.
- Supporting the government with change and release management of new or updated software and hardware components, ensuring proper testing and deployment.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
- Automatically provisioning and de-provisioning virtual machines, storage, and network components based on demand, while leading the development of infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Streamlining application and update deployments using automation tools to ensure timely and issue-free rollouts.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- 7 years of professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Will need to be able to be onsite at customer facility as needed, located in Alexandria, VA; otherwise, the role is able to be performed remotely when site attendance is not required.
- Experience with version control systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps automation, and change management.
- Experience managing deployments via Azure pipelines.
- Current or previous release management experience desired.
- Experience defining and documenting the configuration items (CIs) within the IT environment, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Experience maintaining detailed documentation of configuration items and providing regular reports on the status and performance of the IT environment.
- Preferred certifications may include ITIL, ServiceNow, and/or Microsoft focused certifications.
