What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Manager position at Spare Time Entertainment?
What You’ll Do
- Lead from the floor — supporting and guiding the mechanics and pit crew while keeping work moving and on track
- Interact professionally with guests and team members using our Service Standards (Code S.E.R.V.E.)
- Partner weekly with the General Manager to align on priorities, projects, and budgets
- Own the upkeep of the building, grounds, and equipment — troubleshooting issues as they come up
- Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, equipment, and landscaping
- Maintain organized inventory and accurate records for tools, parts, and equipment
- Perform routine HVAC maintenance (filters, coils, general upkeep)
- Act as the point person for utilities and communication-related issues
- Conduct safety checks, visual inspections, and stay ahead of potential hazards
- Complete regular approach patrols and document findings
- Keep machine areas clean, organized, and operating safely
- Maintain and repair pinsetters, scoring systems, foul units, vending machines, and kitchen/lounge equipment
- Review lane call books daily and address issues quickly
- Create temporary fixes when needed to minimize downtime
- Support general facility needs, including light housekeeping when needed
Locations with Amusements:
- Perform daily walkthroughs of the game zone to ensure everything is working properly
- Test and troubleshoot arcade games, laser tag, escape rooms, and related equipment
- Partner with leadership to communicate and resolve equipment issues

What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of supervisory experience — someone comfortable leading a team
- 2 years of mechanic experience or equivalent training
- 5 years of experience maintaining building infrastructure
- Experience in construction, maintenance, or facility operations
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Comfortable using hand and power tools and troubleshooting equipment
- High school diploma preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
- Active, high-energy environment with machinery noise and lighting effects
- Regular interaction with guests and families
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 lbs
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Typical schedule is 45–50 hours based on business needs
