Dispensary Manager - SF Polk

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Dispensary Manager (DM) is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the dispensary including: organizing the work flow of the staff, implementing marketing initiatives, protecting dispensary assets, ensuring customer service standards, sales goals and KPI’s are met and maintaining the appearance of the overall dispensary. The DM is also responsible for ensuring the Dispensary Team is providing compassionate, quality, and accurate knowledge to all of our members.Understand and embrace SPARC’s mission and its role in the community.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Regional Retail ManagerSUPERVISION EXERCISED: Manages Dispensary Supervisors, Safety Hosts, Member Consultants, Inventory Member Consultants and Delivery Drivers.EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Primary decision maker in the absence of Regional Retail Manager.Oversee day-to-day dispensary operations while following strict controls to protect dispensary’s assets, i.e. cannabis, cash, etc.Analyze, organize and implement office operations and procedures, i.e. reviewing time clock punches, tip distribution, etc.Develop and give presentations to staff, leadership, and the greater public regarding retail operations, recruiting opportunities, and company overview.Maintain an accurate inventory for all items in the dispensary and reducing shrinkSecures merchandise by implementing security systems and measuresMonitoring KPI’s and developing response to shifting in businessOversee dispensary supplies, appearance, and maintenance in accordance with set standards.Ensures merchandising standards are met in partnership with leadership and inventory teams for increased sales and customer experience.Monitors staff and holds team accountable to dispensary policies and procedures while maintaining a continued awareness of industry.Elicit and process feedback from staff and members.Facilitate monthly Supervisor meetings, build leadership team through training and continued education. Assign weekly work lists and goals, follow up to ensure completion.Facilitate regular department meetings to increase knowledge and createan environment focused on member service and education.Observe employee performance and coach team on improvements (in the moment and privately),ensure all members receive high quality service from staff and to increase sales.Facilitate recruiting process, including reviewing resumes/applications, interviewing, and hiring.Oversee training of all new staff and ensure Training Manuals are up-to- date and accurate.Provides 90 day and Annual Reviews and disciplinary actions for all staff supervisedModels service leader behavior on the sales floor for optimal customer service and sales.Facilitates coaching, mediation, de-escalation of issues related to members and team members using positive and effective communication techniques.Plan and coordinate staff levels during peak and recessionCreate weekly staff schedule ensuring all shifts are covered.Meet weekly with Regional Retail Manager to report on dispensary status.Performs regular quality assurance audits.Strong understanding of State and Local regulationsEnsures dispensary is in compliance with regulations at all timesMaintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.Maintain strictest confidentiality.Perform other related work as required.RequirementsRequirementsPERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.Ability to be conversant on all of our products and their unique characteristics’ and be able to recommend similar products that possess similar qualities.Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to perceive and meet the needs of the staff and customers without direction.Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.Ability to communicate clearly, calmly and effectively in all situations with staff, customers, members, and community members, and law enforcement.Ability to dispense cannabis accurately and efficiently.Basic understanding of Federal, State and Local employment laws.Good working knowledge of Google Suite, including Excel and Google Sheets.Experience and comfortable giving presentations in both small and large groups, as well as speaking at local government levels and throughout the community.Ability to create and analyze reports and interpret retail dataStrong customer service and managerial skills.Ability to adapt to changing industry and growing business.Knowledgeable on strains, genetics, growing and effects of cannabisNeeds to have a high level of patience and flexibility.Must have successful time management skills, the ability to self-manage scheduling and maintain punctuality with scheduled events.Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.Refined interpersonal skills.
