We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented part-time Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at the Spanish American Center (SAC). Duties
- Assist in preparing the SAC operating budgets
- Prepare detailed internal and external financial reports, interpret financial data, and communicate insights to management as needed
- Maintain fiscal data for long- and short-term planning
- Monitor and ensure adequate cash flow
- Oversee accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and cost control measures
- Coordinate payroll processing with third party vendor
- Assist external audits
- Ensure compliance and reporting for governmental and private grants and contracts
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks
- Excellent understanding of public accounting principles including general ledger reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing, and bookkeeping
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis including forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and cash flow analysis
- Excellent skills in financial report writing, interpretation of complex financial data, and strategic planning
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- 3-5 years experience working in accounting/finance
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, and other computer related skills
- Proficient in the use of computers
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
