Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive QA Engineer to drive validation and testing activities for next-generation Infotainment and Cockpit Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless user experience, system stability, and feature reliability across connected vehicle platforms prior to production release.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end validation of automotive infotainment and cockpit applications
- Execute HID (Human Interface Device) testing across touchscreens, voice interfaces, steering wheel controls, and other input devices
- Conduct Bluetooth testing including device pairing, connectivity, media streaming, and call functionality
- Validate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and performance
- Test navigation systems, maps, GPS functionality, and location-based services
- Perform regression, stress, performance, and system-level testing for cockpit applications
- Validate integration and interoperability of third-party applications within infotainment ecosystems
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools
- Collaborate with development, integration, and validation teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Support pre-release and production validation cycles to ensure product readiness
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Automotive Infotainment (IVI) and Cockpit System Testing
- Hands-on expertise in HID testing and user interaction validation
- Experience with Bluetooth protocols and automotive testing tools
- Familiarity with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or similar connected vehicle platforms
- Good understanding of navigation systems, maps, and connected car ecosystems
- Experience in stress, performance, regression, and integration testing
- Knowledge of Embedded Systems and Linux/Android-based platforms
- Basic scripting or automation experience using Python or similar languages
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAN tools and automotive communication protocols
- Exposure to infotainment automation frameworks
- Understanding of HMI/UX validation for automotive cockpit systems
- Experience with OTA updates and connected vehicle technologies
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
