Duties
- Use order picker equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, and forklifts to retrieve products from high shelves and designated storage areas.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and track inventory items.
- Handle materials safely using pallet jacks, manual handling techniques, and heavy equipment operation skills to load and unload shipments.
- Pack items securely following packaging standards to prevent damage during transit while maintaining quality control.
- Prepare shipments by labeling packages correctly, scanning barcodes for logistics accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory management tasks including stock replenishment, cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during warehouse operations.
Experience
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, or similar heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems.
- Prior experience in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations and materials handling equipment operation.
- Previous warehouse experience demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
