As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the entire production process, ensuring goods are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate all Production staff. Enforce safety protocols on the floor.
- Production Planning: Determine how to best use employees and equipment to meet customer demands, including creating and adjusting daily/weekly production schedules.
- Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards and quickly resolve quality issues.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to minimize downtime and improve workflow.
- Maintenance & Materials: Oversee the maintenance of equipment and manage raw material inventory to ensure they are available for production.
- Reporting: Monitor production data and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, 5 years in management
- 5 years' experience in steel and aluminum fabrication
- Minimum associate's degree in relevant field of study
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Physical and Work Environment
- Frequent movement between office and manufacturing settings
- Clean, well-maintained facilities
