Graduate Assistant for Residence Life

Position Summary
Spalding University seeks a Graduate Assistant for Residence Life to support the management and operation of the residential community. This position is intended for graduate students and plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, inclusive residential environment while advancing the University’s student development and engagement goals.
The Graduate Assistant provides oversight and direction to Resident Assistants (RAs) and supports the implementation of residential programs, policies, and crisis response protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and supervision of Resident Assistants (RAs)
- Support RA training, development, and performance feedback
- Assist with on-call coverage, incident response, and documentation
- Promote a residential environment that prioritizes student safety, accountability, and development
- Support programming focused on community building and student engagement
- Assist with conduct processes, policy enforcement, and crisis management
- Collaborate with Residence Life professional staff and campus partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be admitted to or enrolled in a graduate program
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in sensitive or emergency situations
- Interest in student affairs, residence life, or higher education administration preferred
- Evening and weekend availability required

Must remain enrolled and in good academic standing.
Must meet all institutional requirements for University-provided housing and student employment.
