Role Description The Director of Finance is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Griffin, GA, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Spalding County. This position manages budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, ensuring the County’s resources are allocated effectively and aligned with strategic priorities. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising financial reporting, preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring revenues and expenditures, and maintaining internal controls and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Director of Finance collaborates with department heads and elected officials to provide financial analysis and recommendations, supports annual audits, and develops policies and procedures to enhance financial efficiency and transparency.
