Spaeth Lumber Corvallis is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Lumber Yard Associate. This position requires a variety of duties such as building lumber orders, stocking and organizing trim materials, conducting inventory counts, and providing exceptional customer service.
Applicants must be able to follow company policy, work safely, and support the yard’s overall cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Orders: Accurately assemble customer lumber and trim orders per specifications, ensuring items are complete and correct.
- Trim Shed Management: Stock and organize trim materials in the trim shed, maintain a clean and functional space, and ensure inventory is in proper order.
- Inventory & Transfers: Conduct regular inventory counts and build transfer loads between company locations as directed.
- Stocking Product: Receive, sort, and stock incoming lumber and building supplies in designated yard locations.
- Operate Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the yard.
- Customer Loading: Assist customers with loading their purchases in a friendly and professional manner while adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Yard Cleanliness: Keep the lumber yard clean, organized, and free of hazards, including sweeping, debris removal, and aisle clearing.
- Follow Company Policy: Abide by all Spaeth Lumber company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as directed by yard management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour
