Job Summary
We are hiring HVAC / Utilities Engineers to support pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Indiana. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in utility systems within pharma environments, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation updates, while ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
Experience Required
- Senior Level: 8–10 years in Facilities / Utilities Engineering
- Mid/Junior Level: 4–7 years in Facilities / Utilities Engineering
- Must Have: Pharmaceutical industry experience
Key Responsibilities
- Design, troubleshoot, and maintain utility systems:
- HVAC systems
- Chilled water systems
- Steam systems
- Compressed air systems
- Process gases
- Perform recommissioning activities for utility systems
- Conduct walkdowns and verify P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Identify discrepancies and document corrective actions
- Develop and review:
- P&IDs
- Equipment specifications
- Engineering calculations
- Support:
- Design, installation, commissioning, and qualification (CQV) phases
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure minimal downtime
- Ensure compliance with:
- cGMP standards
- FDA / EMA regulations
- Internal engineering standards
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharma utility systems
- Experience with commissioning & qualification (CQV)
- Hands-on experience with P&ID walkdowns and updates
- Good understanding of regulatory compliance (cGMP, FDA)
- Excellent communication skills (client-facing role)
- Ability to work in 24/7 manufacturing environments
Nice to Have
- Experience working with large pharma clients (e.g., Lilly projects)
- Exposure to energy optimization and system efficiency improvements
