What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at Spader Construction, LLC?
We’re looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can deliver high-quality work on both residential and commercial projects. You’ll be responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces such as slabs, driveways, patios, foundations, and walls.

Responsibilities
- Set forms and prepare surfaces for concrete placement
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete to desired texture and appearance
- Use hand tools and power tools (trowels, screeds, floats, edgers, grinders, etc.)
- Apply curing compounds and sealers as needed
- Ensure proper grading, drainage, and surface tolerances
- Read blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a crew
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Assist with cleanup and site preparation as required

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher (required)
- Knowledge of concrete mixes, finishing techniques, and curing methods
- Ability to work from plans and follow direction with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physically fit — able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Experience with concrete forming, grading, or flatwork layout
- Ability to lead small crews (if applicable)

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
