Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Operate access control systems to manage entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations using established procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches
- Write detailed incident reports documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes for each occurrence
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as part of access verification processes
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity in real-time and review footage as needed
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while ensuring safety for all parties involved
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control technologies, and physical security best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and emergency response procedures preferred
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely when required
- Skilled in incident report writing with clear documentation of events and actions taken
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques and compliance with security regulations
- Physical fitness to perform patrols, respond quickly in emergencies, and handle heavy lifting when necessary
