Role Overview
Spacial looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join Spacial for Summer 2026. This role is ideal for a student who is excited about building real product features, improving internal workflows, and working on applied AI initiatives. You will work closely with our team to develop features for our website, support workflow automation, and help with projects involving LLMs and AI model training.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants exposure to how a startup operates across multiple functions. The tools, workflows, and AI systems you help build may support a range of areas, including but not limited to go-to-market, operations, internal processes, and product development.
What You’ll Do
- Build, test, and ship features on the Spacial website
- Help design and improve internal tools and workflow automations that increase speed and efficiency across teams
- Support LLM- and AI-powered initiatives that can be applied across various parts of the business, including go-to-market, operations, customer workflows, and internal knowledge systems
- Assist with training, evaluating, and improving AI models and prompts for practical business use cases
- Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and leadership on cross-functional projects
- Prototype new tools and systems that help automate manual work and improve team productivity
- Support debugging, QA, and deployment of new features and internal systems
- Contribute to the technical implementation of experiments that improve how the company operates and serves customers

- Building new user-facing features and improvements for the Spacial website
- Creating internal dashboards, scripts, or lightweight tools to streamline team workflows
- Supporting LLM-based workflows for research, operations, customer support, or go-to-market efforts
- Improving data pipelines or processes that help teams work more efficiently
- Experimenting with AI tooling to reduce manual tasks and support faster decision-making
- Assisting with backend integrations and automation across internal systems
- Qualifications
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Interest in AI, LLMs, and practical software development
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Interested in gaining exposure to the many functions involved in building and running a startup
Nice to Have
- Experience building web applications
- Exposure to backend development and APIs
- Experience with machine learning tools or AI model workflows
