SPACESINC is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Interior Designer to join our growing Interior Construction Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and construction, and enjoys translating ideas into precise documentation and visualizations that bring projects to life.

As a Technical Interior Designer, you will support interior construction projects by developing accurate drawings, renderings, and material takeoffs, while collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and trade partners to ensure designs translate seamlessly from concept to installation. This role will also support our Falkbuilt Digital Component Construction projects, utilizing Revit-based workflows to deliver highly coordinated interior environments.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and internal teams to clarify project requirements and design intent through visual and written communication.
  • Help define project scope, objectives, and technical feasibility with relevant stakeholders.
  • Use Revit and other industry related tools to develop design drawings including 3D models, renderings, flythroughs, and submittal drawings.
  • Produce accurate construction documents, elevations, architectural details, and finish schedules.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and specifications to support project planning and estimating.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps.
  • Evaluate site conditions and project constraints related to interior construction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support seamless project execution.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project standards.
  • Manage design assignments efficiently while meeting project milestones and deadlines.
  • Provide regular project updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Support the continued growth of SPACESINC’s interior construction capabilities through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial interiors, architecture, or interior construction environments preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with applications such as Revit and BlueBeam are a plus!
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and interior construction terminology.
  • Ability to develop architectural construction sets including floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, details, and schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable evaluating job site conditions and construction constraints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new project management and collaboration technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Experience with Revit model management, including loading families, version control, and best practices for model sharing.
  • Experience creating renderings and 3D visualizations using tools such as Enscape, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
  • Experience reviewing submittal drawing packages and coordinating architectural documentation.
  • Ability to translate sketches, CAD drawings, or conceptual ideas into detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Adaptability and interest in learning new technologies that improve the design and construction process.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
