Specific Duties Include:
- Lead systems engineering activities to integrate a new mission segment into an existing enterprise ground system supporting satellite command and control operations
- Assess impacts of new segment capabilities on legacy ground architecture, including mission management, data routing, cybersecurity boundaries, message exchanges, and external interfaces
- Develop and execute transition and integration strategies that minimize operational disruption and mitigate technical, schedule, and mission risk
- Review, adjudicate, and influence Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs), and message definitions to ensure clear, testable, and verifiable interface specifications
- Define and recommend integration test strategies, including incremental interface validation before enterprise-level testing
- Coordinate with segment developers, ground operators, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure coherent integration across functional boundaries
- Evaluate requirements traceability from mission objectives through ground system implementation to ensure alignment during transition
- Identify cross-program dependencies and integration risks; develop mitigation plans and provide technical recommendations to leadership
- Contribute to technical assessments during major reviews with emphasis on integration readiness and architectural consistency
- Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and CI polygraph (polygraph within the last ten (10) years)
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and ten (10) or more years of experience; Master's degree and eight (8) or more years of experience
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a Government/Contractor team environment
- Willingness to travel 10%
