Interim CTO / CIO – PE-Backed Specialty Contractor, Dallas
Space Executive is partnering with a leading private equity firm on an interim CTO / CIO appointment for a recently acquired, fast-growing specialty contractor business.
The business is scaling quickly but remains founder-led, and its technology and data systems are fragmented and underused. The PE sponsor is now focused on professionalising systems and reporting infrastructure, and needs a hands-on technology leader to help management set priorities and deliver.
The role
- Turn consultant recommendations into a clear, actionable technology roadmap
- Lead ERP and CRM selection and implementation
- Build out data integration and reporting infrastructure, including data warehouse / lake capability
- Manage vendors and drive implementation end to end
- Work closely with the founder, leadership team and PE sponsor, with a lean internal IT team
What we’re looking for
- Essential: background in the construction or contractor market, ideally businesses managing field crews and labour hours
- Track record of ERP / CRM selection and implementation in construction, field services or project-based businesses
- Hands-on experience with data integration and reporting infrastructure
- Experience leading technology change in a growing, PE-backed company
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves. This is a doing role, not just an advisory one
- Available for an interim engagement at short notice
