What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Architect position at Space Craft?
We are seeking a Junior Architect to work closely with our technical and design leads to support projects from early concept through permit drawings and into Construction Administration. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of contributing to coordinated, code-compliant documentation. As part of a small team helmed by leaders with both top-tier design experience (e.g., OMA, SOM) and deep code expertise, the candidate must be excited to learn quickly and take radical responsibility for their scope of work.

Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Rhino and/or Archicad is preferred, but not required — a willingness to learn new software quickly on the job is sufficient

The Role
You will support projects from concept design through schematic design, permit submission, and into construction administration, working closely with senior technical and design leads. You will assist drawing production, rendering, design development, consultant coordination, and the day-to-day creation of clear, buildable construction documents. As part of a growing team, you will contribute to the growth of the entire team’s capabilities and collaborate closely with the broader development company.
Design & Collaboration
- Contribute to development of drawing sets
- Contribute to design and rendering efforts
- Support preparation of construction documents for a smooth permit review process
- Support development and maintenance of coordinated, code-compliant documentation across all phases
- Coordinate closely with partners to translate design intent into clear, buildable solutions
