Summary
Render direct clinical service in manner to ensure maximum benefit to the client. Perform all related activities including making full use of Agency resources and outside facilities, and any other duties which may be assigned, in accordance with Agency policy, procedures, and philosophy.
Essential Job Functions
- Render direct clinical service to clients.
- Provide service, which includes obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating data, formulating diagnoses.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with the client.
- Have a full understanding of mental health practice standards.
- Understand departmental objectives, policies and procedures
- Assume responsibility for selected assignments if so designated. For example, school-based therapist.

Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. There may be frequent interaction with persons who are mentally ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset.
Travel
This position may require local travel.
Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary requiring a seated position for extended periods of time. However, some filing may be required requiring the ability to lift files, opening file cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. The employees vision must be adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The position requires good manual dexterity.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's Degree in a mental health field from an accredited University, plus a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
