Position Summary

The Business Loan Advisor II develop and leverage referral opportunities within our branch network to broaden the utilization of SCCU business services. In Addition, promotes awareness and utilization of our business deposit and loan offering to businesses within an assigned market with an emphasis on client contact, sales and service pertaining to Business Loans. Respond to all Business Loans request within an assigned market. Manages loan renewal, modification and periodic review request within assigned market. Identify, research and meet with potential new business relationships for the purpose of delivering SCCU products and services to meet their business needs.

Business Loan Advisor Salary Range

• $40.66 - $43.06 hourly

Business Loan Advisor II Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop business relationships and effectively communicate to pursue leads, close business, and cross-sell member business services together with non-business services in order to achieve deposit and loan growth goals and ancillary service referrals based on established monthly expectations.
• Assist in the creation, updating and correction of lending procedures including procedures for new loan request, renewals, modifications and periodic reviews.
• Leverage assigned portfolio of existing business memberships for cross-sell opportunities.
• Assist Business Advisors to properly provide business development coaching to new and existing members especially in the event of a turndown to ensure member has assistance in taking the necessary steps to improve approval chances.
• Maintains pipeline, committee loan reports and loan activity reports both weekly and monthly.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with local business owners.
• Prepares and delivers effective sales and product presentations to new and existing business relationships and to SCCU staff to increase awareness of our offerings.
• Manage annual status reviews and renewals which include preparing selected credit write-ups for less complex/smaller relationships.
• Identify relationships requiring updated financial and related information, and prepare all customer correspondence related to timely collection for ongoing monitoring.
• Support the quality control review process of CRE loan files and other risk management administration as directed.

• Prepare lending term sheets and business loan documents.
• Provide credit risk analysis support which includes but is not limited to preliminary financial assessment of new business.
• Perform application input, preliminary due diligence of new prospective loans, and the collection of market, financial and business information for new small business vehicle/equipment, commercial real estate and construction loans.
• Correspond with customers ensuring compliance with the Credit Union’s Lending Policy and related regulatory requirements.
• Maintain full understanding of the Bank’s Lending Policy and applicable lending related policies and procedures.
• Assist in negotiating loans and structuring presentations.

Business Loan Advisor II Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in retail banking or financial services (back office) functions required.
• Two year college or university diploma (Associate’s Degree) Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required.
• Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants Simplified Certification.
• Frequent travel by car required to meet job performance expectations.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license and good driving record are required
