What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at SPACE 519 |The Lunchroom - Chicago?
The Lunchroom is looking for a part-time Barista to join our team at our location in Gold Coast. This position will work mornings and days to create exceptional hot and cold beverages quickly and efficiently, while also ensuring the cleanliness and organization of service areas. This role is an integral part of the FOH team and maintains a friendly, positive and professional attitude. We offer a small team where all team members’ contributions are valued.
Prior knowledge of manual espresso equipment is essential, as baristas are expected to dial-in shots and make adjustments throughout the day to maintain quality and consistency. In addition to preparing a variety of espresso and non-espresso drinks, this position will also make cocktails according to our recipes and preparation techniques.
Our ideal candidate will be organized and precise – with an eye towards consistency and quality. They must be able to work independently. Our environment requires our team to be professional in appearance and polished to deliver exceptional output to the store’s upscale clientele.
