Job Summary
SPAAN Tech is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the firm’s HR operations and talent acquisition. The HR Manager will lead full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR policy development, and compliance—ensuring HR initiatives support organizational goals and a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies that support current and future hiring needs
- Support the CEO in combining talent acquisition with business objectives
- Promote fair and equitable hiring practices and strengthen the firm’s employer brand
- Evaluate recruiting processes and systems, implementing improvements as needed
- Coordinate with external recruiting agencies, sourcing partners, and other vendors
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, compensation processes, HRIS and payroll systems, performance management, and offboarding
- Lead the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Direct relationships with benefits providers, insurance brokers, and other HR-related partners
- Handle sensitive and confidential HR matters with discretion and professionalism
Employee Relations & Culture
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR best practices
- Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement efforts
- Lead organizational development and change management initiatives
- Foster a welcoming, collaborative, and high-performing workplace environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
- Proven experience overseeing full-cycle recruiting and HR operations
- Experience partnering with senior leadership, including direct support of the CEO
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or comparable technical fields
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and modern recruiting tools
