As our SPA DEL PARTNER AMBASSADOR (Manager), your mission will be to provide exceptional managerial engagement with each Ambassador (employees) through open and honest communication to drive trust and retention.
You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong computer skills. This role is hands-on and requires high energy.
Daily Team Management Duties include:
- Responsible for training, ongoing positive coaching, ambassador scheduling, documenting tardiness, and potential separation of Ambassadors.
- Listen to the feedback from Ambassadors to make proactive recommendations that will drive safety, clarity, training improvements, job satisfaction, etc., to SPA DEL Managing Partners (owners) and/or SPA DEL Ambassador (General Manager).
- Assist in planning quarterly Ambassador Team meetings.
- Development of weekly work schedule to ensure all shifts are covered, including Sunday and Peak Holiday days. Flex Ambassador roles as needed to ensure Play, Client, and Care responsibilities are complete.
- Ensure compliance with the Ambassador Brand Promise and all other SPA DEL rules outlined in the Ambassador Handbook.
- Adherence to all Federal and State employment laws.
- Daily Operational Duties include:
- Daily Management of up to 18 -22 Care, Play, and Client Ambassadors
Ensure SPA DEL smooth transition of management responsibilities. Rotating days to receive 40 hours a week, including rotating Saturdays and Sundays. The goal is to have several weekends off per month.
Manage the hiring process with new hire training and ongoing training. Make Employment decisions, including disciplinary action and termination, consistent with company policy.
- Assist in answering phones and utilize software requests to make reservations for Boarding and Daycare.
- Greet in-person Clients (owners) and check in Guests (dogs).
- Work closely with Client Ambassadors (receptionists) to ensure that each Guest (dog) is checked in and checked out properly within our software program. Monitor customer service and provide ongoing coaching.
- Accurately process credit card and cash payments.
- Evaluate Boarding reservations for completeness, including vaccinations, temperament tests, photographs, medication intake, and special instructions.
- Align with Play Ambassadors (Play) on which Guest (dog) should go into each playgroup to ensure safety standards. Monitor the size of each playgroup.
- Ensure proper rotation of Guests (dogs) and cleanliness of the playfields throughout the day. You may need to occasionally assume the role to assist with coverage due to breaks, sick leave, vacation, tardiness, etc.
- Support Care Ambassador (Housekeeping) by ensuring proper use of equipment, chemicals, and cleaning processes. Inspect all areas for adherence to the morning checklist and Suite setup.
- Conduct SPA DEL tours with potential new Clients (owners). Describe what makes SPA DEL unique regarding our amenities and state-of-the-art technology.
- Perform Guest (dog) temperament tests to understand personality and fitness for daycare.
- Responsible for maintaining Pool and Splash Pad cleanliness and chemical balance. Use personal auto to take pool water for testing.
- Audit and inform the SPA DEL Assistant Manager of supplies and equipment that need ordering.
- Inform SPA DEL Ambassador of needed repairs.
- Address injuries in an expedited manner. Provide appropriate first aid and document all situations—transport in personal auto to receive medical care as appropriate.In addition, as a team member, you must uphold excellent standards of professionalism, appearance, reliability, and safety.
SPA DEL wants to talk to you if you want a new opportunity. Preference is given to applicants with at least 1- 2 years of management experience within the dog boarding and daycare industry and veterinary technicians with at least one year of experience and a strong desire to develop managerial capabilities.

Education:
- High school
