Position Summary
As a Level 1 Motorsports Technician, you will be the foundation of our service team. This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts while performing essential maintenance, services, and entry-level repairs on some of the world's finest high-performance vehicles. Your keen attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to learning will be crucial in upholding our reputation for excellence and ensuring complete client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter replacements.
- Perform multi-point inspections and document findings to assist in vehicle assessments.
- Assist senior technicians with diagnostics, repairs, and performance installations.
- Competently remove and replace interior and exterior trim panels.
- Install basic parts and accessories, following detailed instructions and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with shop standards.
- Research and request necessary parts for assigned tasks.
- Accurately document all work performed and time spent in the company’s management system.
- Learn and adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of automotive experience (professional or technical school).
- A fundamental understanding of vehicle systems and a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and a desire to learn advanced tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in a workshop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an automotive vocational program or a recognized apprenticeship.
- A demonstrable passion for high-performance vehicles and motorsports.
- Any entry-level manufacturer or ASE certifications are a significant plus.
