SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Pocomoke City, MD and have an immediate opening for a Fabricator/Welder. In this role, the right candidate will be to perform complex, quality plastic fabrication.
This is a full time role Monday- Thursday on 1st Shift - 4/10s schedule with hours of 6am to 4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate welded items with minimal supervision
- Capable of laying out materials required for cutting, drilling, welding, tools and equipment for any operations.
- Read and understand drawings, bill of materials, job order requirements.
- Use various types of Saws (table, panel, and band); Drill Press and Router.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other lower level classification welders.
- Knowledge and experience to perform complete quality inspection of products fabricated.
- Consistent and predictable attendance.
- Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a “B” welder with 3 or more years experience with any plastic fabrication (polyethylene and polypropylene); must understand properities of plastic.
- Basic math skills and computer literacy is preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand advanced blueprints and sketches.
- Must be able to set up tools (drills, router bit, chamfer); pull up various programs and run CNC Router.
- Must be a team player.

- Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
- Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
- Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
- Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
