Global Process Safety Lead

A global chemical manufacturing organization is looking to appoint a Global Process Safety Lead to direct their PSM program, based from their facility in the Downtown St. Louis area.

Reporting directly to the Global HSES Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for overall implementation of Process Safety Management system for the organization and across all global manufacturing sites.

The Role

• Operating as the senior individual contributor and expert in process safety, lead the development and maintenance the PSM Program across the organization.
• Support the manufacturing sites in implementing and sustaining these programs.
• Develop and maintain Process Safety Knowledge Management systems, including training programs and best practice sharing.
• Works with key decision makers and site leaders to ensure compliance to regulations and standards.
• Provide advice and guidance on all process safety management elements.
• Help develop/train in-house engineering and operations staff so that PSM practices become fully integrated.
• Act as primary liaison between global business units, ensuring all businesses are PSM compliant.
• Serve as SME for Management of Change (MOC) procedures and processes.
  
  

The Candidate

• B.S. Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or related field
• 10 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing industry.
• 5 years’ of PSM experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must have excellent communications and leadership skills and must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
• Ability to travel up to 25% including internationally
