Construction Safety Manager

Sovereign Hydroseal is searching for a Safety Manager to join its growing and expanding team.

The Safety Manager is responsible for a full range of Health and Safety tasks and responsibilities which include performing technical, administrative, and field based safety duties to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Manage and further develop a high performing safety culture and program.

2. Partner with all levels of the organization to develop and report daily on field observations.

3. Draft and review submittals which include site safety plans and other submittals necessary to ensure compliance.

4. Conduct safety meetings, talks, and trainings regarding health and safety.

5. Immediately investigate health and safety concerns to ensure a safe workplace.

6. Maintain and communicate SDS and Hazard Communication Programs.

7. Review all field documentation to ensure compliant record keeping and to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Required Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 8 years of construction safety experience primarily in civil infrastructure construction and projects.

2. Valid NYC DOB Site Safety Supervisor License.

3. OSHA 30 Safety Certification.

4. Driver's License.

5. Ability to review safety programs and provide recommendations.

6. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Technical Skills and Tools:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

1. This position is an office and field-based role. Incumbent must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Safety Professional Certification

2. Experience with OCIP projects.

3. Prior experience working with transit agencies (PAYNY, MTA, LIRR, NYCT)

4. Experience in FTA projects.

Salary Range:

$125,000 - $165,000

Note: This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary for this position. The base salary range listed is what Sovereign Hydroseal believes it will pay for this role at the time of this positing. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors which include professional credentials, technical expertise, field experience, and education.
