Job Overview
Sovereign Healthcare Group is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to serve as the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) at a skilled nursing facility. This is a dual-role position ideal for a clinically skilled and self-motivated PTA who is ready to step into a leadership role. Travel milage and drive time reimbursement provided between facilities.
In this position, you’ll split your time between hands-on patient care and rehab department management, leading a team of dedicated therapists while helping residents regain their independence and functional ability.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical (PTA):
- Deliver high-quality, goal-oriented therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Maintain productivity expectations of approximately 80% clinical care.
Leadership (DOR):
- Manage daily operations of the rehab department
- Oversee therapy scheduling, screenings, and staff coordination
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with facility leadership
- Promote clinical excellence, compliance, and positive team dynamics
- Qualifications:
- Current PTA license in the state of Missouri (required)
