The candidate must be a motivated individual with professional skills to multitask between resident treatments, staff management, and required projects. The individual should have understanding of both State and Federal Laws related to Nursing Home rehab. This position will also require assistance with treatments at sister homes when staffing needs occur.
Summary
As the Director of Rehab, you will oversee rehabilitation services, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with healthcare regulations. Reporting to the upper management, you will utilize your core skills in management and medical administrative support to lead a team of COTAs and PTAs. Your premium skills in fiscal management and supervising experience will be essential in budgeting and resource allocation. Additionally, your relevant knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology will enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and standards.
- Supervise and support COTAs and other staff in delivering quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
- Implement practice management strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in a healthcare setting, specifically with COTA or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, records, and EHR systems
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Experience in fiscal management and budgeting
- Background in medical office management and administrative support
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
- Understanding of acute care and managed care environments
