What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager-Ecological Risk Specialist position at Sovereign Consulting?
Sovereign Consulting Inc. seeks an Ecological Risk Assessment Specialist with 5 years of ecological risk assessment experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Experience in New Jersey is a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ecological risk assessment services for a broad range of projects and mentoring junior staff in the risk assessment process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead most ecological risk evaluations and assessment efforts.
- Direct oversight of junior staff working on ecological evaluation and risk assessment
- Mentoring staff on the risk assessment process.
- Support other staff in sample plan development
- Support in data review and management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecological sciences, environmental toxicity, mathematics or related discipline, (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing ecological risk assessment modeling and report writing.
- Experience with ecological screening criteria and application of the criteria
- Experience with exposure pathway assessment
- Experience with toxicity assessments
- Experience with exposure modeling development and calculations
- Extensive knowledge of applicable State and Federal guidance, rules and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with regard to writing technical reports and contributing to proposal preparation, project scoping, and project budget tracking
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training. Current 8-Hour refresher preferred

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
