Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries using accounting software, QuickBooks,
- Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis to support organizational decision-making
- Oversee payroll processing and related tax filings in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Conduct account reconciliation and review of debits & credits to maintain precise financial records
- Handle administrative duties including managing office supplies, correspondence, scheduling, and supporting staff needs
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities as applicable
- Assist in budgeting processes and provide insights for financial planning and analysis
- Maintain meticulous records of journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to uphold data integrity
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Proficiency with QuickBooks willingness to adopt AI-driven workflows
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and perform account analysis with accuracy
- Familiarity with governmental accounting requirements if applicable to the organization’s sector
- Skilled in payroll processing, tax experience, accounts payable/receivable management, and budget development
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Competency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy and speed
