Summary of position: The Mortgage Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the residential mortgage lending process from application through closing. This role ensures loans are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with investor, agency, and regulatory requirements. The Mortgage Operations Specialist works closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters, closing staff, title companies, and borrowers to facilitate a smooth transaction and exceptional customer experience.

- Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company, investor, and agency guidelines.
- Collect, organize, and verify borrower documentation, including income, assets, credit, and collateral information.
- Coordinate with loan officers, processors, underwriters, title companies, and closing agents throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Monitor loan pipeline and proactively identify and resolve conditions or documentation deficiencies.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate mortgage closing packages, ensuring all loan documents are accurate, compliant, and delivered in a timely manner to facilitate a smooth closing process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, investor, and company mortgage lending requirements.
- Review disclosures, underwriting conditions, and closing documents for accuracy.
- Assist with funding, post-closing, and quality control functions as needed.
- Maintain accurate loan records and update loan origination systems in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding loan status and outstanding requirements.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and investor requests.
- Meet established service-level agreements and production goals.
- Maintain high levels of file quality and accuracy.
- Meet established turn-time and funding goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable lending regulations.
- Contribute to a positive borrower and referral partner experience.
- Support company growth through efficient and scalable operational processes.
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years of mortgage industry experience required
- Hearing, speech, close vision
- Sitting, including computer use
- Driving with own transportation to other branches for meetings/workshops
- On occasions, may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Job responsibilities may include standing, walking, lifting, kneeling, and crouching

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
