The second largest employer in the City of Danville, the facility has served the community and region for more than 120 years and was formerly known as The Memorial Hospital and Danville Regional Medical Center.
Danville has comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, a home health & hospice agency, an advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cardiac catheterization labs, a one-day surgery center, and medical & radiation oncology services.
The hospital is accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure, accredited by the American College of Surgeons‘ Commission on Cancer and is a member of the Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network.
What We‘re Looking For
The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

How You‘ll Contribute
A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
- Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
