Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses – Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics.

Licensed for 220 beds, Sovah Health - Martinsville is a full service, acute-care hospital that has been at the heart of Martinsville, Henry County and the surrounding region since it opened as Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County in June 1970. How you’ll contribute

A Central Sterile Processing Technician who excels in this role:

• Collects, decontaminates, stores, and distributes all reuseable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital. Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.

• Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological, and mechanical indcators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.

• Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Central Sterile Technician Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire.
