More about our team

We are a busy cardiology office that is open from 8am-5pm 5 days a week. Our department Provides Cardiac Care for a large community of patients. We provide care for an average of 90 Patients per day. We have 9 Providers and 3-4 of them are in the office daily.

How you̢۪ll contribute

A Scheduler who excels in this role:

· Schedule surgeries, radiology test and special procedures for patients as ordered by providers (radiology biopsies, Pet Scans, Stat radiological test) and schedules post op appointments as needed.

· Records surgery cases in surgeons' scheduling book.

· Pre-certs surgeries, including those performed in the office; works with providers to code diagnosis and procedures as needed for pre-certs.

· Faxes Radiology test to Radiology scheduler and monitors appointments so follow-up appointments can be scheduled.

· Schedules clearance appointments and monitors to make sure approval is received.

· Makes referrals to specialists and monitors to make sure patients receive an appointment.

· Provides patients with instructions for surgery, pre-op and radiology tests, etc.

· Calls insurance companies for allowable amounts so patients are aware of their pre-payment obligations.

· Coordinates benefits with insurance companies specific to the clinic specialty (Surgeries, Allergy testing, Hearing Aids, Office procedures, Radiological testing).

Qualifications:

What we̢۪re looking

The right person who will schedule patients for procedures in the heart station, echoes and procedures in the office. We are looking for a self starter that is flexible and is able to

multi-task.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

· Some college preferred

· Two years of experience coordinating and scheduling medical procedures required.
