5A is an acute care medical surgical unit with 24 patients, 1:6 nurse/patient ratio, and 1:10 CA/patient ratio, serving the general population with various conditions and comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal, and psychiatric issues.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license, nursing degree from an accredited school (Bachelor's preferred), American Heart Association Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
