Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the store meets its sales and operational goals. The Store Manager will play a key role in driving store success through effective team management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Sales, customer service, and cashier duties (most important tasks)
  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct stock control, and oversee merchandising to optimize product presentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions
  • Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours and shift coverage
  • Implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting;
  • Willing to work 5 days/week for average of 40 hours/week;
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus;
  • Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management software, POS systems, and cash handling procedures;
  • Experience in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and team building;
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stock replenishment, and promotional planning;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment;
  • Sound understanding of budgeting, sales management, marketing strategies, and retail operations;
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette and in person;
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous;
