Maintenance Technician

Southworth International Group, Inc., located in Manila, AR, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs manufacturing equipment and provides general building maintenance. The Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of production lines including welding repairs and cleaning, forklift maintenance, and preventative maintenance. The Technician may collaborate with engineers to resolve equipment issues and enforce safety measures. In addition, they may assist with establishing new procedures and work instructions for equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Use schematics and test equipment to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic integrated systems
• Perform preventative maintenance to address equipment failures
• Maintain cleanliness of welders and surrounding work area, ensuring free of debris
• Utilize data acquisition systems, measurement and test instrumentation including PC systems, PLC, etc. in troubleshooting, repair and calibration
• Ensure safety maintenance with hot wires, ground cables, and feeders
• Check the air quality of ventilation systems and adjust ensure compliance with mandate safety codes
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 1 years of experience performing preventative maintenance, control wiring, PLC, mechanical maintenance aptitude preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proven communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Experience functioning as a team member, learning throughout the organization and supporting needs of all buildings
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, grasp with fingers; stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
