Southwoods Health is expanding! We are seeking patient-focused Medical Assistants to join our growing team. While we have multiple practices across the region, we are currently highlighting several full-time openings in Columbiana.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties):
- Clinical Support: Room patients, obtain vital signs, record medications/allergies, and collect/process lab specimens.
- Patient Coordination: Schedule procedures and surgeries, coordinate with surgical vendors, and manage physician block times.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage electronic medical records (EMR), handle insurance authorizations, and resolve eligibility issues.
- Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all OSHA and Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 years of experience directly related to patient care.
- Ideal Backgrounds: We are specifically seeking candidates with experience as an STNA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or Pharmacy Tech. Medical Assistant schooling is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong customer service, ability to multitask in a clinical setting, and proficiency in medical record databases.
