Service Plumber

Southwood Realty is currently seeking an experienced Service Plumber to join our team.  In this position, the Service Plumber will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the plumbing systems on our properties.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide for safe conditions while working and for operations of all plumbing systems with Southwood Realty.
• Receive and complete work orders.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Adhere to current rules and regulations related to plumbing so that systems pass inspection the first time.
• In depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to perform all types of plumbing duties such as repairing and replacing sinks, toilets, sewer lines, water lines, water meters, repairing leakages, and installing pipes.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.

Requirements: 

• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential buildings.
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment:  pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, augers etc.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly with a great deal of patience.
• Valid driver’s license. 
• Must be willing to travel.
• Prefer at least 5 years’ Service Plumbing experience in residential and light commercial.
• Utility piping repairs experience preferred.
• Sewer jetter experience preferred.
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
