Position: Collections Manager
Location: Mission, KS (In-Office Role)
Pay Range: $75,000–$85,000
Hours: Full-Time
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, credit management, and cash application.
- Supervise and mentor AR staff, providing training, workload balance, and professional development.
- Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs for receivables such as invoicing accuracy, aging reports, and collection effectiveness.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
- Review and approve credit applications, determining customer credit limits through financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
- Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and prepare accurate month-end and year-end reports.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Drive process improvements and leverage automation to increase AR efficiency and accuracy.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and account analysis as needed.

Requirements:What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred but not required).
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of AR best practices, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
