What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Head Start Teacher position at Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program...?
We are looking for an Early Head Start Teacher to join our Muscoda Head Start team! This individual will work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 7:15AM-3:15PM with a starting rate of $18.66-$19.80 per hour. This is a year-round position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nurture the developmental and personal growth of children between the ages of 6 weeks and 3 years
- Collaboratively work with fellow teachers, families, Family Advocates, management staff, and others to ensure student success
- Provide a wide variety of enriching, developmentally appropriate experiences
- Teach important self-care skills to students
- Create opportunities for children to pretend, explore, create, question, and grow
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous childcare experience or education
Preferred but not required...
- CDA Credential
- CPR with AED knowledge & First Aid certification for children and adults
- Experience interacting with children and adults from diverse backgrounds, including English-language learners and individuals with diagnosed disabilities.
