Loan, unload, and fire kilns. Assist in loading and firing glaze kiln. Mix and maintain glazes. Process recycled clay. Receive and restock shipments of new clay. Assist instructor in teaching and demonstration of studio processes. Work during open studio hours and assist students working in lab. Do general clean up around sinks and countertops. Help inventory and track use of studio supplies, clays, and chemicals. Provide lab security and enforce lab safety rules. Assist occasionally with gallery exhibit installation and publicity.
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA.

Required Skills/Experience: Students in this job will need the following skills. You should be able to do these, or show that you can learn how (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Previous experience in ceramics, sculpture or design course.
High degree of maturity and self-discipline.
Interest in traditional 3-D studio art or visual arts major preferred.
