ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time SWIC Educational Employee position of Special Projects Coordinator: Vocational Programs.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Special Projects Coordinator: Vocational Programs recruits, advises, and monitors students enrolled in the department’s vocational programs. The Coordinator works to develop, schedule and market programs. The Coordinator screens applicants for eligibility and aptitude for program participation and assists students in goal setting and in overcoming barriers to program completion and career advancement. The Coordinator maintains student records and prepares reports as needed. The position requires day, evening and possibly Saturday work hours. This is a twelve-month position and is contingent upon grant funding.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Requirements for instructor in Department: bachelor’s degree and previous teaching experience.
2. Good communications skills required.
3. Previous teaching in Department preferred.
4. Good background in computers preferred.
SALARY: $24.75 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
