ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative position of Senior Systems Analyst and Programmer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position supports and serves as the technical leader in project management, systems design, systems analysis, systems development, systems implementation, and systems maintenance for the Finance, Financial Aid and Student Finance departments. This position requires a high level of experience in hardware and software configurations, client/server systems, and web-based systems. Deploys technical staff effectively with project load, target dates, and critical business needs. Mentor systems analysts/programmers to grow their IT skills, and works closely with Production Operations Manager, Director of Networking, and Director of IT Development from project start to project completion. Communications and documentation skills to present project proposals and keep pertinent college community informed of project progress, issues, and resolutions required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
2. PeopleSoft development experience required.
3. Experience in major systems implementations required.
4. Experience in all primary responsibilities required.
5. Experience in COBOL, C , and Visual Basic preferred.
6. Experience in Windows server preferred.
7. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
SALARY: Salary Grade 8 on Administrative Pay Scale, ranging $92,600 to $115,700 per year.
