Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ASC team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative circulating, and post-operative recovery (PACU). Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients prior to surgery, review medical histories, and ensure all pre-operative requirements are met.
- Perioperative Care: Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide intra-operative support/circulating duties during cardiovascular procedures.
- Post-Anesthesia Recovery: Monitor patients closely as they emerge from anesthesia, managing pain and ensuring stability for discharge.
- Patient Education: Provide clear discharge instructions to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and follow-up.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow medical staff to maintain a safe, efficient environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact state license).
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an ASC, ICU, ER, or telemetry setting preferred (cardiovascular experience is a strong plus).
- Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
