The Paraprofessional/Transportation position contains a variety of duties throughout the day and school year. The Paraprofessional part of the job is designed to assist Career and Technical Education teachers in the classroom and lab. Some labs are off campus. Students enrolled in our school are high school aged students. Primary responsibilities of the para-educator in both the classroom and lab are to assist in supervision of students and, along with the teacher, ensure that safety protocols are being followed by the students. The para-professional assists the teacher in reinforcing curriculum. Primary responsibilities of the transportation portion of the position include transporting students to and from: off campus labs, work-based learning placements, field trips, state and national competitions and occasionally from their sending high school.
