The Transit Planning intern supports the agency through collecting data, conducting GIS mapping, analyzing ridership, and participating in public outreach for transit projects. - Transit Modeling Software – GIS
- Local, state, and federal transit policies
- Best practices for transit demand management
- Presenting and Communicating recommendations
- Planning, executing, and launching new services
- Entering junior year or higher in an undergraduate program or currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in urban/regional planning, transportation planning, urban studies, or a related field
- Strong interest in transit planning, policies, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Entry-level understanding of GIS preferred
