What are the responsibilities and job description for the Movie Theater Floor Staff position at Southwest Theaters?
Southwest Theaters Sawmill Square is looking for fun, energetic, and friendly people to join our team. Our floor staff positions will work either as an usher, greeter, concession, or box office employee. Some requirements of the position include:
- Weekend and Holiday availability with regular and consistent attendance.
- Exhibit excellent guest service skills.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as math and cash handling skills.
- Comfortable communication and cooperation with guests, supervisors, peers, subordinates, vendors or partners.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast.
- Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns.
- Control access to the theatre by greeting, directing guests and tearing tickets.
- Monitor auditoriums for picture/sound quality, temperature, lighting and guest behavior.
- Greet guests, assemble food orders, operate point-of-sale terminals and make accurate change.
- Perform daily concession maintenance duties.
- Clean and maintain the exterior and interior areas of the theatre including auditoriums, restrooms, lobbies, concession areas, and box office areas.
- Assist with other functions as instructed by the management team.
Some Physical and Environmental Requirements include:
- Frequent bending, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
- Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
